Todd Redden, attorney and counselor at law, focuses on corporate/business law for startups and emerging businesses. In addition to his business-focused transactional work, Mr. Redden assists his clients primarily in the areas of real estate, estate planning and sports/entertainment.
By combining his marketing knowledge and his law degree, Mr. Redden is uniquely qualified to counsel his clients from project idea to project reality. With his extensive business background, Mr. Redden thinks as a business owner to assist clients in creating a solid business foundation by selecting the best type of business entity, developing management structures, protecting intellectual property and drafting financial documents. Once businesses are established, Mr. Redden advises clients on growth and exit issues including mergers and acquisitions, franchising and succession planning. Mr. Redden prides himself on competent personalized representation using a triple bottom line approach that is flexible, responsive and cost-effective.
Mr. Redden represents clients in real estate issues including the sale, purchase and exchange of real and personal property, leasing and landlord/tenant matters and disclosure issues. For his estate planning clients, Mr. Redden drafts complete estate plans including wills, trusts and durable powers of attorney and for his entertainment/media clients, Mr. Redden focuses on his clients’ needs outside of team negotiations.
Through its strategic alliance with Project Pathworks, Mr. Redden advises clients on gaining focus with the development of corporate business plans. Once a client is focused, Mr. Redden is able to provide services related to the logistics of planning and tasking, vendor sourcing and marketing/advertising.
Prior to law school, Mr. Redden worked for several event management companies including Triple Crown Sports, America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Coulier Foundation and has a long-term association with Entercom, working with 97.1 The Ticket and WWJ Newsradio 950. The relationships that Mr. Redden has developed through his business career have allowed him to create strategic alliances that further assist his clientele.
Mr. Redden is a member and former chair of the Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports (ACES) section of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Redden, who was raised in Allen Park, graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, received his Master of Arts degree in Sports Administration from Wayne State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
